METI Minister Kajiyama visits COURSE 50 test blast furnace
On October 1, 2020, Japan’s Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Hiroshi Kajiyama visited the site of development of the hydrogen reduction steel making process technology (COURSE 50 project) carried out at Nippon Steel’s East Nippon Works Kimitsu Area. NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) Chairman Hiroaki Ishizuka stated that he will continue collaborating with parties concerned under the COURSE 50 project and in initiatives, etc. to achieve zero-carbon steel, a long-term challenge so that the outcome will be produced appropriately.
